Philips VisaCare Review #1

by Zoe on 07.13.2016
“Homemade beauty over salon beauty is my new motto!”

Philips VisaCare is a microdermabrasion device with an airlift and peeling system for tauter and more youthful looking skin.

“Microdermabrasion?”, I also didn’t know what this was before. A few days beforehand, I had a consultation with a beautician. Skin pigmentation, fine lines, small impurities and pale complexion – I wasn’t happy with my skin complexion at all. Microdermabrasion peeling would rectify these problems but also costs a fortune at beauty salons.

That’s when I saw the new Philips VisaCare for sale online. Despite the high price it’s by far cheaper than frequently going to a beauty salon to get it done. For me, the device was a cheaper alternative and that’s why I definitely wanted to try it out.

A quick look into the directions for use reveals the following: VisaCare’s lift and peeling system gets rid of unevenness and dead skin cells, reduces hyperpigmentation, smoothens out wrinkles and makes the complexion generally smoother, firmer, more even and radiant.

No more than two treatments of five minutes should be carried out per week. A Skin Care Routine should also be implemented after each treatment to soothe the skin. The use of Facial Masks and serums is also recommended because the skin is especially absorbent after treatment. On top of that, you should use sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30 for the first three days after treatment.

VisaCare comes with two attachments: one for a normal treatment routine and the other for a more gentle one. You only have to guide the device along the skin that you want to treat. Thus, the journey starts at the chin, then over the cheeks, the forehead and the nose. With each treatment the skin complexion is meant to improve and I’m so curious about the outcome!

Results of VisaCare Microdermabrasion Treatment

Six weeks have now gone by. I’ve religiously followed the instructions and carried out two treatments per week during this time.

I am thrilled with the result, the device works really well! My beautician took a close look at my skin and agreed that my complexion had definitely improved.

My skin looks smoother, tauter and somewhat firmer, my wrinkles aren’t as deep, my skin has less impurities and my complexion is fresher and rosier.

“Homemade beauty over salon beauty” is now definitely my new motto. 🙂

My tips on Philips VisaCare

I’ve written out a few tips for all of you who want to try out the VisaCare Microdermabrasion device:

  1. For the first few treatments, use the attachment that’s gentler for your skin until it is used to the procedure.
  2. Skin is slightly irritable and reddened immediately after treatment – similar to being sunburnt. This disappears again after around 10 to 15 minutes but a soothing skin routine should still be carried out. I applied this face cream for sensitive skin.
  3. If you suffer from skin irritation, acne outbreaks or rosacea you shouldn’t take part in VisaCare treatments, or you should at least avoid the affected areas. Large birthmarks should also not be treated.

My Conclusion

Thumbs up from the beauty world for this D.I.Y. take on microdermabrasion treatment! Only those with sensitive or more problematic skin should put themselves into the hands of an expert to avoid any risks.

Trial successfully completed. Bye and until next time! 🙂
